He was so good for so long, and now all I hear is that he's losing... Is it just a slump or is he done?

  1. Well u can't win everyday. If u win everyday then WOW! U R GOD!!!!! I know though he's just idk. O well. I mean Rafael Nadal is getting pretty good. I think he deserves the #1 spot.

  2. Playing tonight for the first time at the US Open in Queens, NY against Maximo Gonzalez--Rodger leads!

  3. just having bad year after having 5 really good year

he is just a human being

  4. He was in a slump. And he is slowly coming back.

  5. well i think he changed his coach and that's why he isn't good anymore

  6. There's always a beginning and an end. He has been dominant men's tennis player for 237 weeks. He surely needed a break from his ranking. While younger players improve their games tremendously, Roger has stayed at a comfortable plateau, or no other improvement he could possibly make ?  I'd give Roger a couple of more years winning  sporadic tournaments slacking in ranking as Sampras had done. History seems to repeat itself even in the world tennis.

  7. slump

  8. Well he got mono right before the 2008 season started.  Mono is takes very long to recover from which more than likely affected him in the Australian Open which resulted in a loss to Djokovic in the Semi-finals. That loss probably affected his mentality which created loss after loss after loss.  Also, Rafael Nadal has become a much better player and that is why he is now number 1 in the world.  I believe Roger Federer is just in a slump right now.  He just needs to get some rest and recovery time and he should be back to his old self or at least close to it.

  9. Slump, loss of confidence, law of averages and Nadal having the time of his life all at the same time. He'll be back.

  10. he is not done

  11. i just heard that too. i was watching tennis and they were talking about him, he isn't like he used to be!!

maybe its his age, he is growing old?!?

also maybe a lot of other players are getting better, its getting very competitive, many people weren't interested in tennis 2 3 years ago and now a lot of people watch it and play!

  12. He is losing quite a bit. He lost Wimbledon to Nadal! That had to be hard on him. Maybe his age is catching up on him, but I don't believe he is all that old! It might be time for someone else to be the best. It happens in every sport.

  13. No WAY! Federer is NOT done! He may have lost in the singles in the Olympics, but that doesn't mean he is losing his shine! GO FEDERER!
