What's wrong with this picture: America's at war, Iran may or not have The Bomb, in 60s gov bldgs were fallout shelters, and all we get on the news now is media distracting us into a race war.

Where are the fallout shelters? Islamists have promised to kill us, and whenever a cop pulls us over the first question is "are there any weapons in the vehicle?" What, the proper state of decent honest citizens is to be disarmed?

This is not what the Founding Fathers had in mind.

Greek fire is nothing compared to Sarah Connor's bad dream.

  1. We also practiced getting on the floor under our desk, with our hands holding our heads down in case we were attacked at school.  How much sense did that make, looking back now?  Schools practice lock downs in case of a threat now?  When it's time to go, it's time to go.

  2. Great question. The terrorists would be using dirty bombs and fallout shelters could effectively protect many people from radiation poisoning.  Perhaps our government is not really that worried about terrorists.

About carrying guns or having a gun in the car -- perhaps our government does not really support the 2nd Amendment, despite all the rhetoric.

The picture is that we're  headed toward a corporatist police state, which of course, is the opposite of what our founding fathers had  in mind.

  3. Time changed with the world adjusting to the dominant attitude of the US trying to force its democratic system to other countries but curtailing freedom in pursuance of its objectives.

  4. our civil defence is fighting overseas
