Question:

What happened to group c in le mans racing?

I've been always interested in group c cars in le mans racing and never really thought what happened to them. also i was wondering if you know if they will ever return because even though i never seen them live i love watching the old races with these guys going at speeds unimaginable. One more thing do you think it will be better if they return group c

    I think they were banned from the WSC and Le Mans when the speeds got too high (the highest recorded was in a WM-Peugeot which got to 254mph on the old Mulsanne straight)... first the ACO changed the Mulsanne to slow the cars down, then they banned the Group C prototypes at the end of 1994

    I loved them too... like the Group B rally cars of the 80's... amazing!!
