  1. According to a story I read a long time ago, a Pharoah of Egypt courted and won the ladies hand in marriage, on the stipulation she was to bring her dowry with her when she arrived to formally accept the proposal, the Pharoah had her murdered and put all his new booty into his bank account, so to speak, and since there was no one to defend her, the Pharoah didn't have to fight to keep possession.

  2. it's not like the movie Troy, she doesn't end up running away to (what becomes) Rome, she actually ends up going back to Sparta with Menelaus, and they live out the rest of their lives together.

  3. you do know that Helena of Troy was Zeus' daughter and there fore was half god just like Hercules. she was around forty years old when she ran of with Paris{under a spell cast by Aphrodite.} after the war she returned to Greece with Her husband King Menelaus. Menelaus eventually dies and she becomes Queen. the story then turns to her son Aoleus

  4. There are a couple different endings to the story in the ancient texts. After the death of Paris, she ended up married to Paris's brother, Deiphobus. In some accounts she killed him to escape from him, since she did not love him. In other versions, her original husband Menelaus survives the war, and he's the one who killed Deiphobus, and Helen returns to him.
