Question:

What happened to my Sony Pro Stick Duo?

I have a 2gb Sony memory stick pro duo that I used for my Cybershot camera for 2 years. I was transferring the pictures off of the memory stick and onto a friends computer. After it was done transferring I put the stick back in my camera. Since then when I turn on my camera it says "Reinsert Memory stick". When I plug it into any comp now the comp doesn't even recognize its been plugged in.

I got all my pics off of it so I don't need to save anything. I'm just wondering, is there anything I can do to fix or re-format it before I just go buy a new one? Has this happened to anyone?

Thanks!

  1. you could have removed the stick while the computer was still attempting to access information (can avoid by using the safely remove hardware icon if using windows)

and you cant reformat it if your pc does not recognize it, try it in different ports... try blowing into it like a nintendo game. or just set it somewhere room temperature and dry for a while, give it another shot in a couple days.
