I kept 2 comet goldfish in my 2foot tank, and had them over 2 years. I changed 25% of water once a week, tested PH and kept it basically at neutral the whole time. They seemed happy and healthy, but one of them ended up having a curvature of the spine, like it folded over on itself. The other ended up with a swim bladder problem. I'm thinking maybe it was a vitamin deficiency. They weren't in sunlight, and although I did mix up the food, and even included some peas and live black worms occasionally, they still died.
Does anyone have any ideas?
I'm thinking about going back into fish-keepingg after a few years off, and don't want to make the same mistakes again!
Thanks!
