What happened to my pet gold fish? It is not very active and it doesn't want to eat tell me what is happening?

Generally thats a sign of poor water quality, especially if it's in a tiny tank or unfiltered bowl.

As an emergency fix, do a large partial water change. Then check that your tank is really suitable for keeping goldfish. (20gal+ with a good power filter) If it's not, keep doing the water changes untill you can upgrade to a decent tank,.

Clean out the tank and fill with fresh water.Don't let the water be over-heated or too cold. Turn the light on the tank off periodically, (every half hour or so). Or give it a light for some heat, not too much.

You could even buy a tablet to help your fish that will dissolve in the fish tank.  

Give it more space if there is not enough if the tank, or place it into a large bowl until you finish cleaning it''s tank. Scrub off the algae and get rid off snails in the tank.

Also get PH strips to test how good the water is. Most fish won't survive in very acidic water.

There could be a number of reasons, first did you test his water?  Many times when fish are suffering from ammonia, nitrite poisoning this will happen.  Without knowing what the water is testing at it will be hard to say.

Not all goldies are "active"  Water temperatures should remain 75 or lower.  Warmer water will make them lethargic.  Not wanting to eat isn't like a goldfish.  Test the water, you may have to do a water change.

Try feeding your goldie fresh veggies and see if he will eat.  More than likely the water quality is off.

What size tank is it in?  We need more information before we can help.

leave it out on the open. make sure your not pointing the lamp to it(if you are).get somethings to design its bowl or aquarium. talk to it?..

gold fishes are like, it wants to live with other goldfishes and a big tank with plants and stuff mines died b.c. of it

It's a fish...what do you expect!? its not very active as it is...and maybe its not hungry......

One goldfish needs to be in a minimum of a 20 gallon tank with excellent filtration.  If you have it in less than that it is probably suffering from poor water and stunting.
