What happened to my platy?

Question

My platy just died, and I don't know why. I have included a link to a photo I took of him postmortem.

There seemed to be no symptoms, except about an hour before death, he started dancing in the back right corner of my tank. He didn't swim to the top, he merely rose and fell as if moving only by current and his swim bladder. None of the other fish in the tank are suffering these symptoms. Is it a disease that hasn't passed on to them yet, or is it just a natural death?

Is it a new fish?  I would check your water and make sure everything is okay with it.

It sounds to me that it was something natural
