What happened to my volume on my laptop?

I was using my microphone on Skype and all of a sudden my volume went off for everything. No one can hear me either. Did I click something? I already checked to see if I muted or moved the volume down by accident and that wasn't it. Thanks ahead of time!

try going to control panel-hardware and sound-sound and check if anything's wrong there. This happened to me when i just got my laptop :) I juss kinda messed with it a little and i fixed it :)

- uninstall driver, restart and reinstall sound card driver

- try the old driver first, before downloading the latest; the old driver usually work better than the newer one
