What happened to the ''quagmire'' and ''civil war'' in Iraq?

You've had a period of, what, five months where 90 people a week were not dying. I won't be holding my breath that that's the end of strife in Iraq. By the end of the year, it will be back to the killing again. Unfortunately.

There never was a quagmire.  There never was a civil war.  The American public was beset with lies by the left wing liberal loonies.  Now they cannot even make up a problem.  The silence from the left is deafening.
