  2. I suspect many of them went to air and space museums around the world.

    Sad.

  3. Most of them were broken up for scrap - some bits were auctioned off. One is under cover in a posh aerospace museum in - of all places - Edinburgh. The one at their birthplace of Filton, Bristol is quietly rotting out in the open in a corner of the airfield. It breaks my heart every time I drive past to do my shopping.

  4. One is in the National Air and Space Museum near Dulles, Airport, Washington DC.  Another is on a barge next to the Intrepid aircraft carrier in New York City.  One is on a stick at CDG airport in Paris.  Those are just a few of them.

  5. The British Airways flagship, G-BOAC lives at the aviation viewing park at Manchester Airport ( egcc )
