  1. You mean Harley right? :]

Well, it's never clarified what happened to her. In the Batman Beyond movie "Return of the Joker", Harley was last seen by Batgirl as falling into a very deep hole (presumed to her death)

But at the end of the movie it reveals that she is still alive, although an old woman with twin granddaughters that had worked under the reincarnated Joker (signals that Harley married and had children [but through movie context, not with the Joker])

  2. In The Killing Joke, an attempt by Alan Moore to give the Joker an origin story, she is killed by a corrupt police officer.

However, it actually doesn't really matter as there are multiple origins for the Joker.  This has most recently been explained by saying that the Joker is not insane, but rather is hyper- or supersane.  He has no identity and has gone through several metamorphoses over the years, re-imagining himself with a new identity, a new past, a new origin.

This is seen, actually, in the new film where he gives himself two different stories for the scars on his face (which are now canon in the comic thanks to Grant Morrison), one with his wife, and one with his father.... neither are true.  The Joker is a force of nature, there is no explanation for his existence or for the things that he does.

  3. What happened to her after she died? Well, she isn't a real person so no harm done. In the comic book, she saved the author on ink.

Do you mean how did she die? The artist stopped drawing her. What was her name, btw? I never heard of a Joker's wife. I thought he was g*y. (Not talking about Heath Ledger - wouldn't even be cool.)

  4. she was murdered. It was meant for Joker.
