i don't follow the series, but i like watching it whenever i can. but why does it seem they keep writing off all of their characters? first george clooney is gone (by the way, whatever happened to him?) then the guy with alsheimerz (i forget the name) and then lucy died........why do they keep doing this?

and who is the father of the nurse (i think her name is carol)'s children?

  1. You should watch Season 6 because that is when Lucy dies and Carter gets stabbed. It is a great season. ER is an excellent show and I wished the original characters would not have left. That is the main reason that I stopped watching the show. Also it kept on dragging along and got boring. But you should watch the earlier season they are much better than the newer ones. TNT shows ER every week day for two hours, from 9-11 central time.

You should really watch them from the beginning it makes it that much better.

    Loved ER

    :)

  2. The actors have left the show because it has been on the air for going on 15 years (the upcoming 2008-09 season will be its 15th and last season). Actors typically don't like to stay with shows for long periods of time, as they don't want to be typecast and/or like to pursue other projects.

As the previous answerer said, TNT is not the best place to watch ER, since they don't show them in any kind of order. If they did, you would know that the father of Nurse Hathaway's children was George Clooney's character.

  3. ER is actually an NBC Network show. TNT shows the reruns and they don't really necessarily go in order. You should find the season DVDs. The show is amazing once you kind of know what's going on. I actually watched TNTs reruns for an entire summer before I kind of knew what was going on. hahaha...

  4. Everyone else covered most of it but I would like to add that Noah Wyle is returning for the final season, which starts Sept 24 on NBC.  Oh and the Alzheimer guy was played by Alan Alda unless you meant Dr Green (Anthony Edwards) who had a brain tumor and died.
