Question:

What happened to the caliber of questions posted in Royalty?

I am perplexed. The category Royalty suggests that postings would come from people interested in Royalty and history. Recent questions suggest otherwise. There are some intelligent posters amongst the masses, but unfortunately it seems the majority are interested only in throwing stones. Does anyone share my humble opinion?

  1. More to the point, what happened to the caliber of the Royalty?

  2. Yup I agree totally. Some pretend it is humour but I think they are a bit like graffiti painters. It will be the only thing they leave behind. Just to cheer you up. If Nicholas Romanov abdicated for himself and his son Nicholas, in favour of his brother Michael. He abdicated before the Communists shot him, so does that mean there is no pretenders to the throne and the alleged Romanov claimants are without any basis ?

  3. You are SO right! But I don't think that it affects most people's view of our much loved Royals. Those who would wish to throne stones at the Windsors should first read about their glorious history and their selfless work for the nation. Having done that, they should then search Google for their nearest stone quarry.

  4. Yes,I am sick of it too. There was an american yesterday decrying the British monarchy and saying that they wanted to be honoured before Jesus Christ and calling for an end to the monarchy in Britain. The gall of the man, some stupid semi literate Yank poking his rotten nose into something that has nothing to do with him whatsoever. It is time people stopped knocking the system and concentrated on it's history and traditions.

  5. Quite right! The ignorance and bad manners of some posters is appalling. An honest question deserves an honest answer, not name calling.
