Question:

What happened to the communication lines to the middle east?

a few months back several middle eastern nations lost internet capabilities for a short time. the media said an under water communication cable was damaged. then a week later thier second (or back-up) cable was somehow damaged. it was never stated how this happened. i find it very unlikely that both cables could have been accidentally damaged right around the same time given that this has never happened before to either cable. does anybody know where i can find out more about what happened?

  1. My guess is they took it down so they could add some new equipment to monitor terrorists. Watch for the capture and kill rate to go up soon.

  2. It's still a mystery. I'll tell you what DIDN'T happen. It certainly wasn't a ship anchor. What ship sails across the mediterranean dragging its anchor along the bottom the whole way? Those lines were MILES apart. And then again the next day, in the Persian Gulf? What are the odds?

Notice how the internet in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Pakistan all went down but Israel and Iraq were unaffected. Smelled fishy to me right from the beginning. I'd love to know what really happened, and why.

  3. What was reported is propaganda, Cables still carry alot of communication, but the Internet, is live on sattelite. No one lost they're Internet capabilties over an underwater cable! When those lines were cut, someone did it on pourpose. Why does everyone assume it's covert ?

  4. They used the wires to make an IED. BOOOOM!!! can you hear me now?
