they have never been really sure and they never knew his name but many credible sources (including WIKI) just say that he was eventually pulled back into the crowd to safety by several other protesters and onlookers.  there are, though, many many other people who died during those protests for democracy.  reports vary SO widely...from 1,000 to 10,000.

i have the poster of that hanging high in the middle of my living room...props to anyone with balls that big.

There was never an answer on who he was or what happened to him. It is believed that he was arrested and executed but there is no official evidence that this happened. Nobody has stepped forward.

That was truly one of the most awe inspiring displays of bravery ever! A sole protester standing in front of a tank protesting the tyranny of communism. I get goosebumps every time I see it.
