What happened to the internet ttol bar?

When I type in a specific web site: http://www. whatever, I go straight to the search engine. How do I by pass the "web search" and go directly to the site I typed in?

Maybe you're typing it in the search bar and not your browser bar. No I don't think those are technical terms. Sorry.

You should, unless you typed it incorrectly.  Otherwise check IE options.  You could avoid this and many other irritants by making the move to Firefox.

You don't have to do http:// just type in www.
