Example: it used to be when one read a news story in Yahoo, there were discussion boards specifically for that story. One could rate that story *as well as comment about it*! But I haven't seen those discussion boards for at least 3-4 months! What happened to them, and how does one communicate w/others about other news stories in Yahoo..?! I missed communicating with others on those boards/forums. It's drove me away from Yahoo...

  1. Yahoo has no sense of humor.  Trolls need to vent.

  2. I agree with your question and feelings.  They took down the web boards because they wanted to be able to control the discussion more than on the boards.  I am sure that the boards will now more than likely be something like this and probably to the point of where other users can violate you to the point of where you wont have an Yahoo ID any longer.  I don't agree with this micromanaging that they are doing.  Personally, I don't think that kids should be coming to these boards anyway...they should be out side doing stuff or if they are old enough they should be working...they should have off limits areas...leave it to the parents to police their kids...we should not have to!

Also the fact that the way that this YA are set up, the government can very easily track people and it gives me the whole "Big Brother of 1984" feeling.  Not pleasant, that is for sure!

  3. Apparently some shyster either got mad at a troll or decided he wanted to remodel his home and decided to sue Yahoo:

It is too bad.  I miss the trolls even.

  4. huh? explain

  5. they were taken down due to too many trolls and adult content, but under all that was real discussion, they will be back soon, but in a format like this, not the old format

they are trying to weed out the trolls, i hope they are back soon
