What happened to the usia?

kinda curious why they were shut down, and what they became. i'd love to talk to anyone who can... big fan of these old Christopher Stasheff books & whatnot.

  1. If you're talking about the U.S. Information Agency, it was mostly absorbed into the State Department in 1999, and other functions (such as its radio programs) are now independent.  It still exists, but it now functions as the Public Diplomacy arm of State.
