What happened to the voice of the people?

Do you think it's fair for our Government officials be it city, state of federal to be able to give themselves pay raises without our approval? After all, their desissions in office affect us all! Do you feel we shoud have the right to vote as far as where our money goes that our Government so easiely sends to other countries to help their hungry and homeless when we don't even help our own? Shouldn't compassion start at home instead of in another country?

Absolutely not. The career politicians that stay in officce and give themselves raises should not be able to do what they do without consent from the people. And I'm completely with you on the part where we should start fixing our own country before giving away money that we don't have! I'm not 100% on this because i got it from my dad, but I heard him saying something about the Democrats planning to give billions of taxpayer dollars to Mexico for them to close their southern borders. It's outragrous, and if it's true, there's a good example right there.

And to you first answerer, it's not that easy. No matter how much people say every vote counts, you can't beat a majority. And I'm not giving up, it's exactly what they want.

Unfortunately,  our cries and protests fall upon deaf ears.  They cannot see past the dollar signs.  I've come to believe that we are living in a communist nation with but one exception....We can protest without fear of being publicly shot!  Who knows how long before THAT can happen here.  America is full of GREED MONSTERS!

Life isnt fair.  Until we, the people, stand up and start voting for people who think like we do, this will continue.  Dont be blinded by a candidates good looks or good speaking ability.Instead ask them the questions  and  tell them your concerns. Perhaps our candidates should sign a contract telling us what they will do and what they wont do.  Interesting concept eh??????
