  1. I believe it was a victim of the new royalty requirements for music material. The new royalty schedule may have made it too expensive to continue "music unlimited."

  2. They sold the accounts to Rhapsody.  I don't think very many people will continue to use it once their subscription comes up for renewal.  Yahoo! was charging a monthly of $8.99 and Rhapsody will be charging $12.99.

How will you address the pricing disparity between Rhapsody Unlimited ($12.99 per month) and Yahoo! Music Unlimited ($8.99 per month)?

Yahoo! Music Unlimited subscribers who migrate to Rhapsody Unlimited will be able to sample the Rhapsody Unlimited service at then-current Yahoo! Music Unlimited prices for a limited time.

This isn't affecting the Launchcast only the the Yahoo! Music Jukebox in the U.S. only.

  3. Yahoo Music Unlimited is no longer because of the "merger" between yahoo music and Rhapsody. They have migrated all the accounts through there tool to Rhapsody

and are no longer accepting new subscribers. This is also affecting LAUNCHCAST because you are no longer able to Get Launchcast Plus.

    Hope this helps
