What happened with Steve Lowery and the ruling after the bird stole his ball at Sawgrass?

As in what did the refs allow him to do after the bird dropped the ball into a water. Did he have to play it as if the ball landed in the hazard and he had to drop or was he allowed a mulligan or a rehit?

  2. I believe the ruling is that if the ball is moved by an

    outside source like a dog running off with it or

    whatever the player is allowed to place the ball in

    a position nearest to it's original location as determined

    by the officials and players involved.

  3. A ball moved by an outside agency may be replaced in the approximate spot, no nearer the hole, with no penalty.
