They split up shortly after Wrestlemania III after Tom Zenk claimed that Rick Martel had secretly negotiated a  contract with WWF worth three times more than his own.Since Martel didn't help Zenk get a better deal either, he split the tag team up and left WWF to join the AWA promotion.Martel then teamed up with Tito Santana for form Strike Force.

They broke up, and Zenk ended up going to NWA/WCW as a result. Martel went on to team up with Tito Santana as Strike Force, but they broke up too not long after Martel returned from a serious injury.
