What happened with the "ebay Jet"?

Does anyone know what Sarah Palin did with the $2.1 million that she got from selling the jet to a private broker? just curious

Alaska is a BIG state and planes are needed to travel expeditiously.  How many planes did she keep should be the question.

Most likely it went to paying off the debt owed on the jet. It was purchased in November of 2005 for $2,692,600 and the state had been paying it off at a rate of $62,492.79 per quarter.  If my calculations are right, that leaves them still owing pretty darn close to $2.1 million on the jet especially when figuring in interest.

Edit:  Actually that happened in the middle of 2007.  They definitely owed more than $2.1 million on it then when it was sold.

She also followed through on a campaign promise to sell the Westwind II jet purchased (on a state government credit account, against the wishes of the Legislature) by the Murkowski administration for $2.7 million in 2005. In August 2007, the jet was listed on eBay and later sold for $2.1 million.[70]

The money was put back into Alaska's general fund, where former Governor Frank Murkowski took the money to pay for the jet in the first place.

She said she put it on Ebay..........don't know if it sold.  But she does not use it.  She is saving money and cutting expenses,  isn't that what we would want our elected officials to do?  Instead we have all these people with there private jets and only a few on-board.  Aren't we getting screwed by having to foot the bill for them to have a glorious lifestyle and then still cheat us.  She has a very refreshing attitude.
