I've been approved for a home loan. So my lender told me to go out get a Realtor and all that other mobo jombo, so I did well we found our home sellers excepted our offer did all our inspections and due to close the 18th of this month but for some reason that is unclear we cant get the broker-lending institution to return any of our calls. we have also left serveral emails, as well as voicemails and no one is calling back. So my friend and I decided to take a ride over to his office and someone went inside as we were getiing ready too, they went in and locked the door behind them and we knocked and they still would not let us in. So I got my Realtor involved who has also been calling but know one is returning her calls either what do you all suggest could be happening and what should i do at this point with a closing date right around the corner any feed back would be helpul very nervous at this point.

  2. What you have is a pre-approval, you can't get a real approval until you have a house picked out with a contract. (Appraisal/ title search etc can't be done until you have the home picked out.)  My best guess is that your mortgage company is going under.  I would immediately call another lender & get the process started again.  Hopefully you have all your income information, W'2s, bank statements etc. ready & they can process quickly.  However, the 18th is this Friday & I doubt any lender can start today & be ready to close by then.  You probably need to see if the seller will extend the contract long enough to get you closed.  I wish you the best of luck, I know it's stressful!
