What happens after becoming a US citizen?

Okay so my mother became a US Citizen

we are about to make a trip to elsalvador

before she became Citizen she used her el salvador passport to get around

But now that shes a US citizen does she have to go and get a US passport to travel

also where do you go to get a new passport ?

All US citizens must enter and leave the US on a US passport.  That's the law.  This goes for everyone, even dual citizens.

Most Post Offices can assist with getting a passport.

Yes. She needs a US passport to enter the US if she is a citizen. She can get one at any number of different locationns. She will most likely need her El Salvadorian passport also.
