  1. in the knock out stages, it goes to two halves of extra time. If the scores are still tied at the end of that, then whoever scored the most tries wins. If that is also equal there's a penalty shoot out, where two kickers take it in turns to kick penalties from different parts of the pitch but I've never known this to happen.

  2. If teams are level at full time, there will be :

    1) Extra time (10 min x 2).

    2) Sudden death, max 10 mins extra, first team to score wins.

    3) A place-kicking competition.Five players from each team will kick from three different areas, all on the 22 m line; directly in front of the posts, on the 15m line in the left and the 15 m line on the right. The first two players kick from the first area, the second pair from the second and so on.If level after 5 kicks the shoot-out continues on a sudden death basis.

The chances of this happenning is very low but it would be interesting to see.

  3. during pool play you dont have extra time you get two points for a draw in sudden death matches you play two ten minute periods of extra time at the completion of the first  period if the scores are still level you go into the next ten minute period if after both periods the scores are still tied ( I'm talking heart break at the 95 world cup) you get golden point extra time where you play on and the first team to score wins! d**n you stranskey!!!!!!

  4. they all go to the pub......

There is a Goal kicking competition, where i think it is 5 players take shots from randomly selected points on the field. Similar to a penalty shoot out in soccer, it will only happen in the knockout stages..
