  1. That's a very poorly worded question.

The simple answer is: it goes down hill.

The complex answer would involve erosion, sedimentation, landforms, soluble minerals, evaporation, weather, and the water cycle.

  2. That is how all rivers formed.

  3. Very interesting earth science question.

Water flowing down a slope can cause erosion.

If the slope is not flat, but has more than one tilt like a folded piece of paper, the water may build up in the crease and form a stream.

The streams in turn may join together to form a river or flow into a low spot and make a lake.

Some of this flowing surface water may evaporate as water vapor because more water is exposed to more air during its travel than if were still.

Some of the water may irrigate the land around it and bring fertile soil from upstream.

Flowing water can even erode rocks and minerals cutting huge canyons over long periods of time.

If water flows from a hard surface to a softer one, it can cut away the softer surface and make a water fall.

  4. The water will begin to erode the ground

  5. Gravity is the force that pushes both land and water down-hill. Ironically, gravity also keeps soil in its place. The steeper the soil, the more it is pushed down-hill and the faster the water runs.
