  1. On New Year's Eve, Disneyland is a mad house.  It's the most crowdest day of the year.  It gets so packed that they usually stop allowing people in the park by 3:00pm. unless you are staying at the resort.  This means annual passport holders can be turned away even if you have a premium pass.  The lines for the big rides are normally 1.5 to 2.5 hrs.  The streets along Main Street is so packed that you can hardly move because most people are there just to grab prime spots for the fireworks show at 12am.  But at night, there is a DJ at the main hub playing songs and the pass out hats and horns around 6:00pm.  Yes, the rides are still operational even at midnight.  The park usually stays open later than usual till 2am?  Sorry I can't remember but I know it's late.

On New Year's Day, it's still crowded but not as bad as the day before.  But it's back to the normal winter holiday hours.
