What happens at a court hearing when applying for a court order to get child access.

  1. The two people state their reasons for the hearing and the judge makes a decision. If you have any proof that may help your case, bring it with you.


  2. basicly both your solictters (lol cant spell)  talk before hand and then try to come to some short term agreement, then you sit i a room with a judge adn both your points r put forward by the soliciters not you. you dont really get to speak openly in the hearing. a short term agreement is normally made then will be reviewd in 6months time

  3. When I got divorced I had to go to court to work out access as my ex-husband was not sticking to contact times etc. The court gave me the permanent residency order for the kids and then they put you in a room with a mediator to work out access days and times. When that's decided then a court order is granted and both parties must adhere to it.
