One Magic Morning(Previously Early Entry) is included on 3+ Day ParkHopper Tickets.  If you are a Resort guest(Disneyland Hotel, Paradise Pier Hotel, Grand Californian Hotel) you are also given the Magic Mornings for the lenght of your stay(but you must have a valid admission for the day).  There is not an extra cost above the ticket price, so there really is no question about the is it "worth it".  

Currently it allows entry into Disneyland one hour early on specific days.  But not all of Disneyland, only select attractions in Fantasyland and Tommorowland, as well as the shops along Main Street.

Magic morning is only available to guests staying at one of the Disneyland Resort hotels so there is no additional cost, and is only available on certain days. It only allows those guests a one hour early entry into Disneyland (it is suppose to include California Adventure, but I have never been allowed early entry).

I always stay at one of the hotels just for the convenience of their proximity to the parks, but there are several surrounding hotels that are cheaper and just as convenient.
