What happens at the end of Gilmore Girls?

Hey everyone

I just recently got addicted to gilmore girls, and would really like to know what happens to the characters at the end of the show?

Has anyone seen the finale?

The town plans a going away party for Rory in the town square but when it rains Luke gets all the tarps in town and has everyone stitch them together to save the party.  Lorelei and Luke don't officially get back together but Luke gives Lorelei a necklace he had for her.  At the VERY end Lorelei and Rory go for a 3am breakfast at Luke's before Rory leaves.  The camera pulls back like it does at the end of the pilot episode with Rory and Lorelei talking about how great a reporter Rory is going to be.
