What happens if Brett plays and Rogers leaves?

Rogers has only one more year on his contract, if Brett comes back and plays (good or bad) Rogers might snub the Packers and leave town leaving the Packers with Brett and a quarterback just drafted this year.

They drafted two QB's (Flynn & Brohm). Favre has been the face of the Packers for the past 16 years. I can't understand why so many people are disregarding Brett after all the success he has brought to GB. He is the best QB to ever step on the field.

And for Packer management to say that they are handling this well? That's a bunch of bull. Why would you NOT let back your 3-time MVP QB? Like he has something to prove? So he made a mistake and retired early (only because they wanted a quick answer from him). h**l, Michael Jordan came back from retirement twice and still played, so why are we not letting Favre come back and play?

I just don't see Favre coming back to a team that has made it so publically clear that they just don't want him.

I think your point about Rodgers having one year left on his contract is EXACTLY why they don't want Favre.

They need to see what Rodgers can do.

If he is their QB of the future, this is the season to prove it.

And your right, if he doesn't get on the field and prove it, he may just say the heck with the Packers and sign somewhere else.

Then Brent will retire next spring, and come back for the final year of his contract next fall.

But after that, then what?

Rodgers will be gone for good.

They have to show Rodgers they are committed to him as their QB so that he will stay.

Letting Favre start will squash that.

It's a mess.

But there is no one to blame for it but Favre.
