What happens if I deposit a check with late date?

I wanna deposit a check at Chase, but it has a later date. What's gonna happen if I will deposit it?

Do you mean it is a post dated check, as in the date has not passed yet?  If so, a post dated check should not be accepted for deposit.  But, you might get lucky and the teller won't notice, but, there is always a chance the check will be returned unpaid to your bank because of the post date.

If the date on the check has already passed, just keep in mind that most checks expire in 6 months or a year, depending on the bank's policy unless otherwise stated on the check.  In which case, your bank should not accept it for deposit.
