What happens if I don't get my Study Permit in time, but still fly to Canada.?

I'll be going to Concordia University in Montreal as an exchange student starting this fall.

My school and Concordia screwed up at points during the application process and I ended up not getting my letter of admission until very recently (they first sent one that was wrong)

So now I've applied for a CAQ and need to apply for a Study Permit as soon as possible, but I might not be able to get a Proof of Funds that I need to include for two weeks.

My flight is booked for August 24th.

So my question is, what happens if I don't get the Study Permit in time. What would happen if I still took the flight and arrived in Montreal? Would I be let out of the air port? Would it be possible to complete the process once I got the papers?

Or should I, if I don't get the proper documents in time, miss my flight, possibly miss orientation at the university, and possible miss the first classes?

Hate that the schools screwed up and I did nothing wrong, and now I'm in this mess...

You have to face the situation. Hate will not bring about the change now earnestly desired by you. Keep Calm. Yes one does get disappointed when such problems arises and in your case it is an opportunity you may loose for your educational carrear.

Best is to contact the Liason officer at Canadian Embassy and seek his guidance. His intervention and perhaps an endorsement on your Passport for entry purpose may solve your problem partly.

Simultaneously prevail upon Concordia Unv. to assist you for Study permit even provisional if necessary. As also with your school who were the intermediates to the arrangements.

Do not attempt to enter the Canadian country without proper papers and do not presume that entry will be granted based on incomplete formalities. You have more than 45 days at your disposal and make best use of it for followups without letting the other party know how disgurnted you are with the situation. Rest will be fine, be confident and avoid the tendencies to blame others - as mistakes do happen, as it happened in your case.

At airport during your passport and visa checking if anything is missing they wont let you get the plane.

Moreover if somehow you reached at your plane while studying there if a police man caught you not having proper documents you will be jailed for illegal entry to Canada.
