What happens if I forgot to refrigerate Acidophilus pills?

I got some to help with yeast infection and noticed a day late that it was suppose to be refrigerated after opening. Do you think it should still be ok? Also, some websites said to take liek 2-4 pills a day. Should I follow the bottle instructions that say just 1 pill a day (says 100million active ).

I take 5 billion and take 3 a day when I have a yeast infection. I would take 2- one in the morning and one 12 hrs later. that should do good. You would also be drinking alot of water and using organic yogurt.
