  1. Tell your employer.  They can stop payment on that one and  issue you a new one.  See if Direct Deposit is available at your job.  That makes your life a lot easier.

  2. No. They just write you a new check and cancel (stop payment) the old one so it can't be cashed. Might take a few extra days though

  3. Have them stop payment and cut you another check.

  4. You have to ask your employer to put a stop payment on the check, and then have them reprint the check for you. You will probably have to pay a processing fee, of about $30 - $50 dollars.

  5. Tell your employer to put a stop payment on the check and issue you another one ---

  6. Even after they stop payment on the check, your employers have to wait a few days while they put a tracer on it, or check to ensure that it hasn't been paid in another part of the country. If the check gets cashed before it's stopped, the loss is on you, unless the perp is caught and the money recovered. If the employer cuts you a new check there should be no charge for that; it's not like you're ordering a check from a checking company.

  7. Get direct deposit if you can, so this will never happen again.
