I just bought a new computer monitor and it seems to keep blowing its 10 amp fuse. I went out to buy a new fuse but got a 13 amp. What will happen if I use the 13 amp fuse and why would the monitor keep blowing its 10 amp fuse????

  1. 1. NEVER put a fuse in that is larger than what is specified..NEVER.

    2. Agree with above, a computer monitor does not draw that much power by itself.

Is there anything else plugged into this circuit?

  2. get this checked out it doesn't sound right it could cause a fire. That's what fuses are for.

  3. Fire if youo're not careful.....not to mention further damage to your computer if it doesn't cause a fire.
