What happens if I remove all the water from an inground pool that requires a liner?

  1. you can run a good chance of shrinking your liner and it will not fit back in. the ingrounds are made to fit custom to your pool. when you go to fill it back up with so much water in it it will usually fall in and you will need to buy a new liner. i wouldnt take any more out than you have to. if there is a deep and shallow end i would leave any less than 2 inches in the shallow end.
