You will be voiding your warranty, which will prevent it from getting service from Microsoft.

If you take your Xbox 360 apart, then your warranty will expire on the spot. and if u call in, they will not fix it, because u opened it.

Apart from the fact that you may not be abe to put it back again & have to buy a new one? Pretty much nothing. Its yours, do whatever you want with it..

if it causes it to stop working,

microsoft will assume no responsibility for repair

and believe me Microsoft flags and seals electronics, they KNOW if you've been inside it

worst case scenario, you have to buy a new one

or a PS3 if you're smart lol ;)

If you take it apart, say goodbye to your warranty.  If you get the ring of death, MS won't fix it for you for free or fix it for you for that matter.
