  1. I hate when RFA's holdout.  If their current team matches the offer sheet, they have to play for that current team.  Some players may try to hold out, but the Yashin case proved that the courts will force them to make due on their contract.  It's a risk, because if you get an offer sheet for 7 years and someone matches, you will be stuck with your current team for 7 years, when if you just signed a shorter contract you could be a UFA sooner.


  2. An RFA doesn't have a choice I don't think.  That's where the R in RFA comes in.  I think if they match it, he has to resign there or he doesn't play anywhere, not even in a minor league.

  3. if he signs an offer sheet with another team and is original team matches it it is a valid contract he is stuck.  

    If he wants out that badly he has gotta sit out and beg for a trade.
