  1. It's not that tough to go with the gear on you just have to drop the pants and jock not all that different from pants and underwear.  If you're a goalie it's REALLY REALLY tough because of the leg pads.  I've never heard of the bathroom being a problem for a hockey player except for that Luongo thing two years ago, so i guess the players just hold it until period breaks when they've got 15 minutes to do whatever.

  2. Yea your body blocks most signals from the brain when you're playing hockey, I can honestly say that when Im sick even I cant tell while playing....until i get off the ice and your body settles down you dont have to pee or even feel sick..its weird too cuz no other sport ive played is like that....if you do have to go i dont think the coach or anybody will make you p**s yourself on the bench

  3.   NHL News Release: Gary Bettman has currently assigned 20 million toward trying to figure out how to implement a "Yellow Line" into the game....stay tuned for updates.

  4. Going up and down the ice like that, the body sweats off all the waste.

    Drop the puck already!

  5. It's why there's intermission between periods.

For us beer league types, there's a two point strategy:

    1) In the dressing room before a game, you make sure you use the toilet before heading out.  For some this is part of their ritual.  As a goalie, I will usually hit the toilet just before I put my leg pads on.

    2) Once the game starts, you're sweating and you're into the game, and not thinking about your bladder.

As a goalie, I'll sweat between 5 and 7 pounds during a game.

  6. I have had to go pee before, I usually wait until the end of a period. You just take if off a little bit, not that big a deal.

You body will slow down your metabolism when you're full of adrenaline though, It's very rare to need to do anything other then pee, and that's rare, you're using more water then you're drinking, and you'll only have to go if you had too much a half hour to an hour before you get to the rink.

  7. Hockey players are athletes. Their bodies are like machines. They have routines and their body sticks to it. Like the first poster said, it never happens. And if they are sick and it happens, they are scratched for a game or two

  8. the truth is, i've played for 20 years and never gotten the urge to go to the bathroom(#1 or 2) during a game.  It just doesnt happen, its like your body shuts off that possibility.  Which is good. but if it were urgent im sure they would go to the dressing room, or just down in the tunnel.

  9. it doesn't really happen, but you can pull down all your equipment and pull it back up like pants so i guess if you really needed to you could

  10. They go in their underwear - just like I do when I'm stinking drunk...

  11. wet themselves!haha!i was at a tampa bay rays game once, and the bulpen pitcher came out and used the bathroom that the fans use!

  12. The announcer usually says that the player has a "skate problem."

  13. Never had to p**s during a game. But, if it does happen, you can just lower the pants and anything else you're wearing under them.
