  1. She will leave you as soon as she gets permanent resident status. There is absolutely nothing in common between American and Ukrainian people. Most Ukrainians call Americans dumb and ignorant idiots.

  2. Yes! No waivers!

Be sure to get enough evidences that this is not a fraud marriage.

Collect pictures, receipts from events that you attended together. Open join account, add her to your insurance, list her as an emergency contact at your work, ask friends to send a postcard with both your names on it, subscribe to a magazine together.

Ask me if you have any questions.

    Good luck!

  3. I think that the Ukrainian would be given a green card for the time being and after about a year if you are still married citizenship would probably go through.

  4. They are married.

  5. You got some answers that are close.

For a visa, she has to go through the same process. You apply to USCIS for permission for her to apply for a visa. This is the same for everyone.

Once approved by USCIS (in 6-8 months), a Visa number is immediately available to her. This is different than for other immigrants, who must wait 7-10 years for a Visa number to come available. She can go to the US Embassy in Kyiv and applies for a visa immidately (it takes about 30 days).

Once in the US, she follows the same process as any other immigrant to adjust her status to "permanent resident".

Once a permanent resident, she qualifies for citizenship in 3 years, instead of 5 like everyone else.

  6. You have to talk to the Ukranian Embassy that is closest to you.  It can be a bit difficult getting her here but you can do it.  There are special rules and ways you have to go about it. Only the Embassy can help you with this.  Good Luck to you.

There is a man who lives in my building who married a woman from the Ukraine and there is a lot you have to do to get her here. But if you love her you can do it.  Good Luck!

  7. no not necessarily the get fast tracked- they don't have to go through the same process that a regular immigrant applying for citizenship would have to go through

  8. yes she does. it's no longer an automatic citizenship.

  9. Yes, of course.  Expect it to take over a year before she gets her visa.  There's a huge amount of marriage fraud between western men and women from the Ukraine.  Expect close scrutiny of the relationship and remember, there's no "right" to a visa.  Immigration can, and does, say no all the time.

Automatic citizenship for the foreign spouse ended in 1922.
