The employer said he didn't have time and needed to go during an unemployment appeals hearing.. The Appeal's Hearing Judge told him that was his right. Does this have any influence on the judge's decision?

  1. It should they are avoiding the process.

  2. The employer gave up his right for cross examination . It is disrespectful to the hearing (court) and he should lose by default . BUT that is at the discretion of the judge

  3. Yes.  It will benefit the former employee who is trying to get unemployment.  Judges have huge egos and they do not like this behavior.  He may decide that the employer didn't have a valid challenge to the claim, wasn't telling the truth or didn't know the facts.  In any case it will get the claim settled in your favor.
