What happens if half a tooth falls out?

I was eating and almost half of my back tooth fell out. Ihave a dentist app in 2 weeks because I noticed a cavity starting in there, but it must have been worse then I thought. I was just wandering if the dentist will have to pull it out or just put a cap or something on it. Any help?

Your cavity must've been really bad for it to come out. Cavities start out small, but eventually they'll take over a whole tooth if you don't get it filled. That's why you should get your cavities filled as soon as possible. :)

I'm not sure what the dentist would do. I'm sure it'll be totally up to you whether you want it "rebuilt" or whatever. So ya. I think the only option is to talk with your dentist and you can decide what you want to do with it.

You need to go to the dentist, it could get infected.
