i currently do 60reps, 15kg, 4 sets then i do 5 sets of the same weight but only 10 focused reps as i do not have a heavier weight. I was just wondering if this would increase muscle. thanks for any answers you have on this =)

  1. As far as I know, less reps at a heavier weight amount increases bulk muscle.

More reps at a lower weight amount results in lean muscle.

Men tend to lift for bulk, women tend to lift for lean muscles.

I'm not sure that your routine will get your the bulk you may be looking for.

Either way you are building strength.

  2. it depends on the exercise that you are doing but high repetions are usually for shape or cut...... these are usually done very fast... but if you slow down( 5 seconds with the positive phase and 5 seconds on the negative phase of each repetition) and do less reps with the same weight this can build mass or size astronomically

  3. i have no idea what you said.
