What happens if i don't pay the bank $6000 for cashing a unhold check and it was cancelled?

The bank can take you to civil court to resolve the matter.

If the check was written on a non-existent account....the bank can take you to criminal court and you will go to jail.

If you are in the US you go to jail for theft and fraud.  Your family will see you again in a few years, maybe a year and a half with good behavior. When you get out, you will still owe the money.

they will attempt to collect it from you and they will report you to chex systems which will prevent you from having an account.

Were you  a victim of fraud?  Did someone else give you the check, and you thought it was good?  Try talking to the bank.
