  1. If the bank put it into your account they will catch it and take it back out.  Don't use the money.  If you have less than what they put in they will hit you with overdraft fees.  

    Yes they made the mistake but you should know how much is in your account.


  2. Be vary careful.  The funds are not yours to do with what you like, until you have documented proof. (it is yours)  If you touch those funds, you could be arrested for theft.  And it could be a setup, by some people with money, that want something from you, instead of a genuine mistake.

  3. If they are not yours - the bank legally owns them and you will be responsible to pay them back - the best bet is to contact the bank and see if a mistake was made.

  4. In my experience with Regions and First South, you have 30 days to contact them and resolve monies taken from your account in error, they however, can take money from your account that was incorrectly deposited at anytime as long as you still have the account. Go figure.........
