  1. varys from track to track.

but your stake will not be made into a single race wager (all on one horse).

    sometimes:

    you will get a refund

    or

you will get the favorite instead of your scratched runner

    or

you might get a "consolation double"

depending on the rules of the local betting commission.

  2. you don't get a refund

1a 1b its all the same

  3. As Eddie D and David G Said....

in the UK your double would become an all on to win bet, so £2 double with non runner leaves you

£2.00 to win on remaining horse.

If you had a treble with a non runner i.e. £2 Treble it would become a £2 double.

Hope you won and it was a big price.

  4. In the UK all stakes would fall onto the runner, the second horse in the double. You would only get a refund if the "double" was a forecast.

  5. If you bet on number 1, and it is an entry such as 1a and 1b. So if either the  1a or 1b horse  wins, you win your bet. I seen times that there was a 3 horse entry. And the same rule applied.

If half of the entry if scratched, you do not get a refund, because in reality you bet on number 1.

Now if you meant Daily Double, and one horse wins and the other horse was scratched, you would automatically get a consolation payoff.

  6. well champion tipster im surprised you dont know that. your bet now becomes a single . did the other one win ?

  7. At most U.S. tracks with the daily double if your horse is scratched in the first half of the double it is a refund.  If it scratched in the second half and you are live to it, you receive a consolation payoff.

  8. Your bet on the others still goes and you will get a refund for the non-runner

  9. The money bet goes on to the remaining horse as a single bet whether it is to Win or Each Way.

  10. I have seen it both ways depends where you are betting ie the track or a palor ask a teller they can tell you,.
