Question:

What happens if i only wear one contact?

i have contacts for both eyes. . .but one of my eyes got irritated so i took it out and kept the other one in because it wasnt bothering me and i wanted to be able to see ( i dont have glasses) will this damage my eyes? why or whynot?

  1. It most likely will not damage your eyes, but it really depends on what kind of vision problem you have.  For example, uncorrected, I see 20/80 out of my right eye and 20/25 out of my left eye.  I have an astigmatism in both, but obviously the one in the left eye is not as bad.  I barely notice a difference if I don't wear my left contact, however if I were to go without my right contact, I would most likely experience headaches.


  2. No, it will not damage your eyesight because it will not change the size or shape of your eyes.  It may give you a headache or eyestrain, though, as your eyes and brain try to focus on one clear and one blurry image.  You need to get a pair of glasses, though, as a backup for times when you can't wear contacts.

  3. Is ok....sum ppl with lazy eyes does that. to correct the lazy eyes.
